What is a SIS Kayak and Sit On Kayak? Which one is better?

Kumberland Kayak and Watersports offers two types of kayaks for rent, sit inside and sit on. A sit inside or SIS kayak has a recessed seating area with a deck cover over the legs to protect you from the elements and store extra gear. They are built for performance and speed, allowing them to go farther faster.  Sit on kayaks are designed with stability in mind with a slightly larger width. You sit on the kayak rather under a deck cover which allows for more movement. Both kayaks are wonderful options for beginners or experienced renters!
